Cochran Slams SEC Chairman for Ambiguity in Ethereum Regulations
Adam Cochran, the founder of Cinnemhain Ventures, criticized SEC Chairman Gary Gensler for the continued lack of clarity around Ethereum regulation. Cochran fears this ambiguity will limit innovation in the crypto landscape. He asked Paul Grewal, Coinbase’s chief legal officer, to demand that Gensler clarify in court how ETH differs from several assets claimed as securities in various cases. Cochran has frequently criticized Gensler, and in response to the recognition of ETH as a non-security asset, he highlighted Gensler’s overreach and called him a “political weasel.” Cochran hopes to see Gensler resign, citing SEC Commissioner Hester Pierce as the right person for the job.
