European Blockchain Regulation: Sustainability and More
The European Union (EU), as part of its regulations, has approved the relational blockchain initiative to develop sustainable solutions in collaboration with ChromaWay.
This partnership aims to create digital passports for products and strengthen intellectual property rights, marking an important step towards innovation and sustainability in the European economy.
Let’s see all the details below.
New European regulation on blockchain: priority to intellectual property rights and sustainable innovation
As expected, the European Union confirmed its continued collaboration with ChromaWay develop blockchain-based sustainability solutions.
The decision, announced on July 12, follows ChromaWay’s presentation at the final review meeting of the EU’s pre-commercial procurement (PCP) process.
At this meeting, ChromaWay demonstrated the progress of decentralized applications for digital product passports (DPPs) and intellectual property (IP) rights.
At the review in Brussels, ChromaWay presented its relational blockchain technology, which combines the flexibility of relational databases with the security of decentralized blockchain.
This technology promises to improve efficiency and manage the complexity of on-chain data. Which makes it ideal for commercial solutions and for the public Layer 1 platform Chromia, which will launch its mainnet on July 16.
Or Perelman, Chromia’s co-founder expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with the EU, saying:
“By fostering collaboration between governments, regulators, institutions and blockchain innovators, we can harness the full potential of Web3 technology and drive its widespread adoption.”
A commitment to sustainability and efficiency
The EU’s positive assessment of ChromaWay’s contributions highlights the potential of relational blockchain technology in creating significant impacts both in the public and private sectors.
This collaboration is part of the EU’s strategy to integrate innovative blockchain solutions to promote sustainability and efficiency. The EU remains committed to supporting technological advances that bring economic and environmental benefits across Europe.
In July 2024, representatives from RBN Eco and ChromaWay will meet with the European Blockchain Association to assess the compatibility of their technologies with future EU initiatives.
In addition, they will participate in a follow-up workshop in Brussels in September, where they will outline next steps for the fourth quarter of 2024 and for 2025.
At the same time, the EU has collaborated with other blockchain solutions such as Iota, selected by the European Commission for its Web3 identifier in the blockchain sandbox in June 2024.
This demonstrates the EU’s commitment to exploring and adopting various blockchain technologies to support growth and innovation on the continent.
ChromaWay joins Amazon Web Services Partner Network
ChromaWay recently announced its membership in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network. Through this strategic collaboration, ChromaWay will be able to offer services hosted on the Chromia public platform directly on AWS Marketplace.
Expanding the range of blockchain solutions available to users. AWS, recognized as a pioneer in cloud computing with a strong presence in the blockchain sector, supports more than 70 popular public protocols and networks.
In this context, ChromaWay will examine different methods to leverage AWS’s advanced infrastructure. One of the main objectives will be the implementation of “one-click” cloud environments.
Simplify the setup process for developers and make it easier to develop blockchain applications in Rell, Chromia’s dedicated programming language.
Additionally, integrating AWS applications on the Chromia platform, implementing cloud-based nodes, and creating custom consortium chains will be explored to meet specific organizational needs.
These initiatives aim to improve interoperability and increase exposure of relational blockchain technology.
The partnership with AWS will allow ChromaWay to develop strategic connections with other members of the AWS Partner Network (APN) operating in related sectors, such as gaming.
Game developers and studios that rely on advanced server solutions, analytics, security, AI and machine learning integration, cloud computing and storage will benefit from the combined solutions offered by ChromaWay and AWS.
By exploring opportunities for collaboration between its products, relational blockchain and AWS services, ChromaWay aims to create synergies that can lead to significant innovations in the gaming industry and beyond.
This strategic alliance represents a important step towards the simplification and widespread adoption of blockchain technologies, while improving the efficiency and security of decentralized applications.
