Fireblocks facilitate institutional access to Cosmos’ “Internet of Blockchain”.
Fireblocks, a leader in providing a broad range of blockchain support, has expanded its support for the Cosmos ecosystem, thereby facilitating institutional access to the “Internet of Blockchains,” according to a recent post on the company blog.
About Cosmos
Cosmos is a decentralized network made up of hundreds of interconnected blockchains, all based on open source Cosmos technology. It is often referred to as the “Internet of Blockchains”. Cosmos is currently the second largest blockchain ecosystem, after Ethereum. The Cosmos Network is designed to solve some of the toughest problems in the blockchain space, including scalability, usability, and interoperability. The Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) allows different blockchains in the Cosmos ecosystem to communicate directly with each other.
Fireblocks support for Cosmos
As part of their expanded support, Fireblocks offers institutional access to many of the major appchains within the Cosmos ecosystem. Some of these supported appchains include Cosmos Hub (ATOM), Osmosis (OSMO), Celestia (TIA), dYdX (DYDX), Axelar (AXL), Kava (KAVA), Injective (INJ), and Thorchain (RUNE). Fireblocks customers can securely store these tokens, access DeFi, and engage in staking.
Future projects
Fireblocks aims to further extend its support for Cosmos by adding more blockchains. Some of the blockchains expected to be added include Sei (SEI), Noble (USDC), and Berachain (BERA). In the coming weeks, Fireblocks will provide a detailed look at support for Cosmos, with new blogs highlighting the different Cosmos blockchains supported.
