Former President Donald Trump to Speak at Bitcoin Conference in Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — People from all over — including celebrities, politicians and corporate executives — descended on Music City for the 2024 Bitcoin Conference.
The three-day event is expected to draw more than 20,000 attendees, many of whom are eager to hear former President Donald Trump speak on Saturday.
Among the participants are Aaron and LaTovia Cheatham from Arizona. The Cheathams traveled to connect with others who share their passion for Bitcoin.
“We invested a large portion of our life savings into this. Within a few months, we doubled everything we had. I even sold my favorite car,” Cheatham said, reflecting on his significant investment in Bitcoin last year.
The couple hopes their investment will secure the family’s future.
“We just secured the future for our children and their children. And we’re going to maintain it as long as we can,” Cheatham said.
Brandon Green, executive director of the conference, emphasized the educational purpose of the event.
“It is estimated that over 50 million Americans currently own Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the best and the first decentralized, permissionless global monetary system. It is fully digital and fully online,” Green said.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former President Donald Trump, both Bitcoin advocates.
“One side of the aisle wants to regulate and move a lot of the industry offshore. These candidates are seeing an opportunity to really learn more about Bitcoin, learn about the industry and find ways to keep businesses in the United States,” Green said.
Security measures at the event were tightened following an assassination attempt on Trump.
“Our safety protocols have increased tremendously,” Green said.
The Cheathams are looking forward to making new connections at the conference and are optimistic about the future of Bitcoin.
“You can’t believe in what you’re going to do and not put everything into it. It doesn’t make sense,” Cheatham said.
We’ll be covering Trump’s speech tomorrow. Tickets for the conference are still available, starting at $200, with VIP packages costing up to $21,000.

She’s in her 80s and legally blind. Franklin woman continues to crochet for those in need
“Here’s a great story that proves that everyone has something to give, regardless of age OR personal challenges. Our Austin Pollack introduces us to Mrs. Sylvia Mooney. At 80 years old, she’s not sitting still. Instead, she uses her skills to create compassion for others…one stitch at a time. Her crochet creations go to non-profits to help our homeless neighbors. You’ll be surprised to learn that she does all this while facing a serious health issue. Bravo Sylvia!”
