Horizen Labs presents zkVerify | Alexa Blockchain
Horizon Laboratoriesthe development studio behind the Horizen modular network, today launched “zkVerify,” a new modular blockchain focused on zk proof verification, designed specifically for settlement optimization.
zkVerify addresses the largest expense that zkRollups and zkApps currently face.
Key points:
- Ethereum and Bitcoin L2 struggle with high proof verification costs, particularly zk-rollup architectures, which limit scalability and efficiency.
- zkVerify is the most efficient modular zk solution for the settlement layer, separating proof verification from settlement at L1, reducing security costs and improving scalability for blockchain networks.
- zkVerify can reduce proof verification costs by up to 91% for Ethereum and Bitcoin L2, which could have saved zkrollups over $42.8 million in 2023 alone.
Major zkrollups such as Gevulot, Caldera, and Gateway are early adopters of zkVerify for proof verification.
