Robinhood Launches Cryptocurrency Futures in the US and Europe
Robinhood is said to be considering offering cryptocurrency futures in the US and Europe, but an official launch date has not yet been announced.
Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday that Robin Hood is considering offering cryptocurrency futures in the US and Europe in the coming months.
The commission-free trading app aims to use Bitstamp licensesa cryptocurrency exchange that it plans to acquire in a $200 million deal expected to close next year.
Robinhood Plans to Introduce Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) CME-based futures in the United States. However, they said there are no immediate plans to launch the offering and that discussions are ongoing, so final plans could change.
Pluto
This announcement comes after Robinhood announced its Acquisition of Pluto Capitalan artificial intelligence research platform. The company aims to provide users with more personalized investment strategies and analysis.
Robinhood made the move to expand its presence in the cryptocurrency space and attract institutional customers, in addition to its usual retail customers.
Robinhood has expanded its services to include cryptocurrencies, retirement products, and credit cards. The company works with individual investors to enhance their cryptocurrency portfolios.
Robinhood has not yet announced an official date for the start of futures trading.
