UK Rules on Stablecoins and Crypto Staking Expected Within 6 Months, Says Afolami
The UK government plans to have lawmakers approve new rules governing stablecoins and staking services for cryptoassets over the next six months, as pressure builds to implement specific proposals before general elections imminent.
Economic Secretary to the Treasury Bim Afolami, speaking at an industry event hosted by Coinbase in London on Monday, said the government was “pushing very hard” to pass legislation.
